After all these years it's still more fun than I ever imagined. This one is called, "A Little On The Wild Side." It was designed for the Snow Lodge in Yellowstone. This could be Mom's fault, I can vividly remember playing in the shop on a cold winter day with Ann while she cut shade panels on the scroll saw. I remember how she would jump every time that a blade broke. "Drat."
How "pretty" is that lamp and shade? You do very good work, Steve. Who'd have thought that this would be your career - life work. Wouldn't Dad and Mom be proud?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful piece. How many did you make? Do you sign your work? And like Elizabeth said, Dad and Mom would be so pleased with what you have done.
ReplyDeleteI think that I've made about 25 of them by now. Yes these are signed and numbered.
ReplyDeleteFor a noisy roommate invading my privacy, you turned out to have far more talent than I ever had. Who would have known. Stunning work.
ReplyDeleteDad, you always do such good work! Why didn't I get 1/2 of your talent?!? I'm so proud to be your daughter.
ReplyDeleteSee, you were working hard during the long New York winters. She is a beauty and you are a winner.
