I agree with Elizabeth about the wise ones.This is proof that we are more able to believe a negative statement about ourselves than a compliment.
I think it is because Dwight is missing his suspenders in this picture. Velna and Louise seem to have "wisely" accepted the kind remarks.
These pictures were taken last year - Top to bottom, Dwight, otherwise known as The Curmudgeonly Professor, his wife, Velna, and sister, Louise. These are some favorite pictures of mine of some favorite people in my life.
