40 below, and we're riding that unheated school bus with chillblained toes and fingers! Remember the frost on the bedroom windows in the wintertime? And we were only allowed to open the doors in the early evening to warm the rooms a little bit before bedtime. No wonder the quilts were so heavy, and we didn't loiter before we jumped into bed.
