DOG DAYS OF SUMMER ?

Hotter than the shades of Haiti's so I helped Mary Lynn get her hammock up.  Lily recognized at once that this was the place to be.  (It's really to early to call them the "dog days of summer'" but it just made a good title.

Antique ? Doll

If I got this doll for Christmas when I was 6 years old, does that make her an antique? What does that make of me? That year I believe that Ann and I got the most wonderful dolls we had ever received. The little knit stockings are missing, but everything else is original. She has been carefully kept and brought out of hiding from the cedar chest only to show grandchildren and let them hold her for a moment. Her name is Susan.

LAURA TANNER

Wasn't it yesterday when she was small? Just thinking about this darling neice and praying for her healing to be quick.

Christmas Cards from Home

Aunt Rose had sent Mother and Dad an envelope with several treasures in it. Among them were these cards that had been sent to Aunt Rose. She thought Mother and Dad would like to have them back. It has been fun when, over the years, both Steve and Elizabeth have gone in the same direction. What a nice keepsake.
