One of my favorites from days of yore - written in Mother's hand.
Judy always had a happy, optimistic outlook - and was full of nonsense from the get-go. Love this picture -and she grew up to be beautiful.
And this picture, looking very un-Judy like, but look at the height of the lilac bush - early days in Penrose, for sure.
Judy, we can always depend on you for listening, counsel, advice (even if we don't always take it), and lots wisdom. You have always helped us to look on the bright side of things, even in times of stress and difficulty. Thank you for being there - can't wait to read your autobiography. I know it will be full of memories, both shared and new to those of us who left home early on. May this be a very good year for you and your family - you are dearly loved.

Stop the World From Spinning
This sheet of paper has become very important to me. Judy tried to explain these exercises to me over the phone, but due to diminished brain capacity, I couldn't quite picture them. She kindly sent this to me, and it has been a lifesaver. We have enough problems as we live longer, so we don't need to complicate them with extra spins in our world. Thank you, Judy! Your art work is efficient, and I do love the constant smile on the face of the vertigo sufferer - Keep smiling!

Happy Birthday Judy

To Judy: who has smiled her way through life's ups and downs; who has perfected answering a question with a question (an inherited quality); who must have calmed this kitten into submission in order to put it in a choke hold; who has been a dear friend, a listening ear, and a wonderful example of what I want to be when I grow up - Happy Birthday. I love you, sister, dear.
This is another attempt at getting this photo down to its correct size. The earlier sizing was a little big, but the photo showed up much better. Hopefully if you double click on this it will enlarge so you can see the smile that is so familiar.

Elizabeth and Ron Came to Olympia!
We had so much fun. Not many somber moments, not even for the camera.
Giving each other advice.......the hands, you've got to watch the hands!
While the ladies watched the new Jane Eyre movie, the men escaped to the shade in the yard to get a little reading (and sleeping) done.
What an event to have the Gages traveling to Washington again!
