These grain storage elevators were built a few years ago just a short distance from where the Blood family lived just west of Ralston about a mile during the years 1941-1944. Heart mountain was the ever-present icon of the landscape.
When I came back to Penrose for a visit the first thing I looked for was Heart Mountain. As soon as I saw it I knew I was home. It was like a beacon in the lighthouse, guiding me home.

What a beautiful sunshiny day in Wyoming. Can almost smell the irrigation water hitting the hot fields. Our landmark stands supreme.
