Is the little boy one of Rose's children? Does the picture say?

I wonder if this was taken the summer that Dad lived with Grandma Krajicek and Rose and Will Allgeier? He talks of that summer in his life story.

The little boy looks like Robert Allegier. I am so tickled to see this picture.....if it was the year that Dad lived with these relatives, what year would that be?

Yes, the little boy is Robert Allgeier. This was taken at the same time as the photo of Dad and Robert sitting on the lawn. I think that one has been posted, but I will check.

It was taken in 1916 and the note on the back of the photo says "Grandmother Kray and Robert Allgeier at Carneyvill Wyo.

Roscoe died in February of 1917, so 1916 would be the summer and the fall that Dad was in Carnyville. He went to some school in the fall with Robert and Stanley. He looked on this time as being very special, because Rose was so kind to him, and he enjoyed his cousins.

b> Where was Carneyville in Wyoming? < Does anyone know when Carneyville ceased to exist? I recently obtained a hand-written, commercial postcard postmarked 1912"Carneyville Wyo" featuring a view of at least one of the Carney Co. coal mines and a long train of coal cars. From other sources I learned at least 800 people once lived there, but I can't Google Map it or find it on any current Wyoming map. Was the town site stripped away in later years of coal mining?

Where was Carneyville in Wyoming? I recently obtained a handwritten commercial postcard from the Carney Coal Company postmarked 1912, Carneyville WYO. I can't find Carneyville on Wyoming state maps or by searching Google Maps.

John, we didn't mean to ignore your question about Carneyville. If you Google "where is Carneyville WY" you'll get a bunch of information. Carneyville mine was 9 miles north of Sheridan WY. The town apparently died in 1924, but originally had about 2000 people there and 150 to 200 houses.
