Suzy Q

I threatened to post this shared photo before Christmas, but that would have spoiled the surprise.  The wonderful doll was made by Ann for one of her Granddaughters.  I think the doll looks like Kristin.  What a great doll to love and a grandma to go with it.  Great job, Ann.

Hey! She looks familiar. Judy must be bored?? Thank you. She was a fun project, but was also a lesson in procrastination. I started making her last July, thinking she would be done and I could move on to other projects. However, it was two weeks before Christmas when I realized I had better get with it. Do we just do better work under pressure?

Oh dear. If the Judy comment sounds not nice that wasn't the way it was meant. Merely that she is looking for things to do to keep her busy while she is recovering.

Last July? It seems like you were painting eyes in May when we were at your house?

And your point is??

We eventually get the truth.

No point - or if there is one, perhaps it is that you are a perfectionist, and follow the rule of "Measure twice and cut once" - or Be cautious and end up with a beautiful result. ;-)

Or that I am really good at procrastinating. Remember when we would stay up way into the late night hours making wonderful things because that was the only time there weren't any little kids around? I think I am reverting back to those days.

Have we always worked best at those late hours and it took having little kids to point us in that direction?
As the hoofs of the reindeer land on the roof, let them settle to the sound of the whirring sewing machine inside. How many of those?

You can tell when we have nothing new to post - the comments keep dribbling in from here and there. The subject has been extended!
