Everytime I see Steve's work I am in awe. He has definitely taken the world of marquetry to an amazing level. What a beautiful piece.
I should give credit for where the inlay design originated. It was taken from a detail of a 1795 painting by JLG Ferris called "The Christmas Coach."
Wow - I've heard the description of this piece as you worked on it, but it's fun to see the real thing - as far as distance will allow us to do so. Very nice, Steve - you don't let any flies light on you!
