Some of those are pictures I've never seen. Thank you for sharing, Louise. Wasn't she beautiful? The years have not altered all that much!

That was such a magical day for this little sister. I was so excited because I got to be a part of Judy's day, just a little bit. Judy looked so pretty and Bob looked so handsome. See the temple on top of her wedding cake? I continue to see things that my older siblings did that I imitated. I got married in the SLC temple, had the same type of temple on top of a flower centerpiece (we didn't do a cake). Wonder where I got the idea.
Judy mentioned my green velvet dress I wore for the occasion in a previous post. That dress was what I got in place of my class ring. Mother let me choose how I wanted to spend that money and I chose the green velvet (the real stuff) fabric for that dress. Mother and Dad used that same velvet to line my jewelry box they made for me my senior year of high school.

Louise, thank you. Do you remember that you also invited us back to share Thanksgiving dinner with you? And then we trundled back to Provo to the cheapest apartment in town. $38.75, in the basement. The water pipe ran over our bed and we used it to hang our clothes.
Ann, were you ever sorry that you chose the velvet? How I wish I had a colored picture of you on that occasion.

Was I ever sorry about my choice of the green velvet dress over a class ring? The only sad thing was the dress didn't last forever. Velvet is a very tricky fabric and it didn't take long for the velvet to crush. The lining in my jewelry box is a wonderful reminder.
