End of the Saga

I know that is my doll. Mother's know their own babies anywhere.

But - which one? There are, after all, two dolls. One is soundly sleeping in the cradle - so how does this answer the question. Besides, look at the skinny braids. How can that end the saga when we are all left hanging?

Ann pulled all of the hair off her doll. So it doesn't have any skinny braids.

However, if one looks closely, there are three dolls in this photo, one on the far left, one on "my" lap and Judy's tucked safely in the cradle. I think the tucked down chin may give me away. Skinny braids? Excuse me. The hair fell off my doll - or was cut off, or Steve pulled it off, or the cat chewed it off, or------. Surely it would grow back. Mine always did.

And the upside down book - I couldn't even read. Or could I. Goodness, history can be what we say it is.

Ann, you do have sharp eyes. It always pays to enlarge the picture. Definitely you.

Is Ann reading her current book upside down?

It worked better that way. I never did like Pinnochio - don't know if I can even spell it. That story created such a phobia for me about being in the water I still hate it. Or not.

Ann said...

Oops, meaning I hate the water, not the book.

Ann, Pinnochio was probably the second movie I saw (the first was Wizard of Oz in Lovell in 1939). I was so terrified by the underwater scene that Daddy had to hold me on his lap, and he told me that if I didn't quit crying, he never would take me to another show. I rated Pinocchio right up there with Alice in Wonderland.
