Ann and Dwight Make a Trip to Layton to See Louise June 18 2013

Ann and I went to Layton yesterday to see our sister Louise.  We visited extensively and Louise gave us a tour of her extraordinarily well organized home, with a room for scrapbooking, a room for sewing, a room with the quilting frame and computer, and a living room for watching TV.  Amazing.  She has made dozens of wonderful scrapbooks with photos and writing, and she estimates she has made at least 150 quilts.  We lament that our mobility, or lack thereof, keeps us from more frequent visits but we cherish the time we can spend together.

Louise always amazes me with all that she does. Dwight provided great conversation topics as we traveled - I love spending time with my family. Great photos of a nice day.

What a great day - I see the smiles in all of the pictures, which means that a good time was had by all! We cherish your trip from afar.

Just one more example of taking care of and showing love for one another. Not only that, but there are now witnesses to the status of each of these 3. Good job!

I know you are all eager to learn the great conversation topics we conversed about on our journey. First, we had an American history lesson and discussed each and every President of the USA beginning with Warren Harding and ending with Barack Obama. Second, we discussed the comparative naughty behavior of the Lords and Ladies of Downton Abbey with the naughty behavior of Mr. Selfridge. Third we discussed the guy who plays Doc Martin. Fourth, we discussed how much we hate the Heat. It takes time to boil over with disgust with the Heat. We hate them even more after last night. We did not engage in idle gossip, but pursued educational topics of great merit. We did not have time to discuss our siblings. Next time, maybe. D.

Oh, I forgot, we lamented that Robert Taylor looks so much more weather beaten on Longmire than he did as a young priest Father Vincent Sheahan on Ballykissangel. Second, we lament that Longmire (Mon p.m. on A & E) is filmed in New Mex. and not Wyo where the thing is supposed to be. Third, we grieve that the Longmire folks have no idea how to pronounce Absoraka. Apparently Sheriff Longmire got reelected since a new series is being filmed. Not fantastic, but fun for the Wyoming names. And the ability to get from Dubois to the Worland cattle auction in 10 minutes.

Longmire? Why didn't anyone tell me? I've missed the whole thing! What a fantastic feat to get from Dubois to World in 10 minutes. Only on television.
