Grandpa Wasden's Official Record

This is the record of Grandpa Wasden's purchases of lots in the Penrose Cemetery. Where, oh where, would we be able to buy a cemetery lot for $2.00?

Busy, busy, busy! My question is, Ann, how did you manage to squirrel away all of this stuff, and how much more in this treasure trove do you have that you also managed to squirrel away, unbeknownst to the general populace? This little project is now getting interesting with folks coming forth, finally, with their appropriated stuff.

http://www.tctwest.net/~gonefishin/penrose/pafn01.htm - this website gives the listing of burials in the Penrose Cemetery, including our father, Russell Marion Blood. I used to be able to get this website with a Google and "gonefishin", but it looks like it has all been transferred to a geneaology website. It works to do a websearch, and you get different pages and listings.
Ann was just in the right place at the right time -

Forgot to add how much I appreciate the upside-down postal card with the sketch of the cemetery plots, showing what Grandpa had purchased. Lots of family in that small area!

Aren't you glad that you kept that postcard? I am convinced. Don't throw anything away!

The amazing thing about these treasures is they absolutely fell into my possession. I had no idea what I had until I went through a little tin box Elna had left in Mother's little desk. When we moved the desk to Orem, it was tucked away and not looked at for several months. One day I opened the bottom drawer and there was the tin box with these old documents. I promise to get them all scanned and shared, but I think I am getting close to the end of what I have. Bu tho knows!!!!
