I haven't discovered how to iron out the wrinkles - but this way is much more authentic. In the treasures that found their way to my house there was an old worn leather pouch that contained a few of Grandpa's old papers. Among those papers was this receipt for the furniture for the Penrose Church. The receipt is made out to Mrs Wadsen, (interesting spelling). I suspect the little blue chair and the medium sized youth chair that we had at Penrose (Elizabeth is the keeper of the little blue chair) were among the purchases.

What a treasure! The surmise about the little blue chair is an interesting one. I guess I always thought it was a leftover from Mother's early teaching, but this makes more sense. She painted it cobalt blue, and added white chair leg protectors to keep from scratching the hardwood floor in Washington. Thanks for sharing!
You could be right - My muddled memory seems to have a vague recollection of playing on similar small chairs at the church when Mother would spend the long day as an election judge. The neat thing about memories is we can make them whatever works for us at any particular time and place. And it does seem as though the little chair was in our house at Penrose forever. Steve, are you any help on this one?
