Mother's Dress

Mother loved this fabric and she sewed the dress from the exact same pattern that she had used for several others. Notice how she has the pattern on the yoke perfectly centered. This was her typical Sunday attire in Washington, often paired with a sweater because of the cooler climate. She had a calling in Primary and she could often be found in the hall with a child that some teacher couldn't handle.

How I remember this dress pattern. What fun!

I have one or two, also - wish I had Brook's dress model to display them on. Mother always said, "If you find a pattern you like, hang onto it." (Or something like that.) She didn't have time to go messing around looking at new patterns, or figuring out how another dress-shirt-pants went together.
