Step Mother

This is Mary Quick Blood, who married our Grandfather Roscoe after the death of his very young wife, our grandmother, Louise. Mary became our father's step-mother, who did not treat him equal to that of her own two children.

Amazing. I never had any idea what she looked like. All I ever knew was that she broke Dad's heart and that he spoke harshly of her all of his life.

I guess we will always wonder "why". I'm just thankful Mother and Dad had each other and a family who truly loved each other (and not just on the good days!).

She gave us the Hurlbut's Story of the Bible, because she was afraid we were not being taught about the Bible.
