So, here's what'cha do. Click on play, close your eyes, and let me know if you find yourselves back in the living room in Penrose, with the old Philco phonograph playing, the smell of home made bread permeating the house, Mother busily putting things in order and Dad's laughter somewhere in the background. What a happy memory!

What a gift this Sunday afternoon -talk about transporting me back to childhood and the magic of one of my favorite stories! You are technologically so far ahead of us - We will all be asking you how you did it. Thank you for taking the time so that I could sit here and chuckle and enjoy such fond memories.
Oh, my gosh, Ann. I LOVED that story, of course, I had every little ditty memorized, but I had certainly forgotten all about it. Thanks for the revival. And by the way, HOW did you do it?
It is my "new toy". I found a product made by DAK that lets me record from the old records, tapes, etc., save them to a file on my computer and then create a CD, or a video if I have pictures to go with the music or whatever. In all fairness, if it hadn't been for Laura, I would still be trying to figure out how to make the magic box work. Now that I am all set up, she promises that I just have to click on a couple of "things" and I am off and running. Isn't it fun! I do have some more of the old records, so I'll play with them to see what can be done so we can all enjoy them.
Talk about coming alive! This is the real deal. We all wanted to play it just one more time and we got our wish. Who would have thunk it?
OK smarty, where do you get DAK, and don't you feel cool since I begged and begged and begged you to tell me about your new toy, but no, you wouldn't tell me and I have to find out about it after everyone else when I drove hundreds of miles to see you. Oh well. The rain falls on
the just as well as the unjust. Sorry for the break but my dentist just called to see if I went to church today. Besides that, I even took a picture of your flour barrels so your sisters could ooh and aah over them. Oh well. Life goes on.
dang I found it on the website but its for windows.
It is so fun to keep a secret, just once. Come on down and I'll be happy to share. Now if I could just find "I won't go hunting with you Jake", I will be all set! Sometimes there is an advantage to Windows. And, by the way, what a dentist! He must really be lonesome. Thank you for posting the pictures that leave a good impression. Well done!
