Steve is How Old?

With happy thoughts and much affection, I claim you as our dear brother.....The one that we got sent to Grandma's house while you were making your entry into the world. Your birth size must have caused Mother some distress. But since she couldn't talk about those things, we never knew. But we did know that you were loved. Happy Birthday, your life is just beginning.

Mother told me later that Steve weighed a little over 12 pounds. He was a very big baby!

This picture must be Steve's Jr. Class picture. He was a very cool Junior. Am I right, Steve? Not about the cool part - you don't have to defend that because I know I am right, but about the Junior part.

Sorry, but I keep thinking of fun things. Probably, if Steve were to unbutton his outer shirt (note the layered look in 1959) you would find a chain that he often wore around his neck. The chain was definitely an original. Remember the little linked chains that were/are used for key chains. Steve was quite creative, and he took several of those chains, hooked them together and made them long enough that he could wear it around his neck. Another sign of a real cool Junior!

Did the chain leave a black mark?
So now how long....was Steve when he was born?

AS long as the pillow from Mother's bed.

The chain didn't leave a black mark as long as it got painted with clear fingernail polish.
