I have been asked to comment on this photo, especially on Liz's pose. Well, Liz's pose sort of speaks for itself, doesn't it? Like, who does she think she is? I look totally pained, while Louise merely looks demure. There, does that help?
It is not true that I was born bossy. However, as you can see, there may have been a bit of an attitude, but the sunny look on the face denotes a certain free spirit. But, I always believed everything my older sister and brother told me. I've always loved the picture of Louise - was it the first day of school or some such important time? And, Ann, it may be true that Louise and Dwight were a trial - Mother calls them the "villians" in one of her letters to Dad - but that was before I was born. They were so smart - they knew they had good results in the trial runs, so having more children had to be a winner.

The bottom picture of Louise is wonderful. Was this a special day, Louise? Now let's talk about the top picture........
Isn't it amazing that Mother and Dad survived the three older kids and went on to have three more?? Absolutely amazing!
